The salesman was knowledgeable and too plenty of time and helped us pick out the perfect door. it was built quickly and was trimmed perfectly. the loading into my truck went smoothly and the were all super helpful and very polite. GREAT TEAM.

I found a beautiful door in their warehouse, yet it was too tall. Shaun assured me they had 2 in stock. They searched over the weekend and found the right size door in their warehouse of 1000's of doors. They hung it and called me for pickup 2 weeks earlier than expected.

Almost spent $1500 there today, till the manager gave me a sour taste in my mouth and i left. Pablo the guy helping was great, she was not. What the hell happened to this place.

My husband and I drove from Idaho to buy a door, got there and we were not impressed. The manager I believe she was, blew right past us , cursing and laughing with another gal. The 2 salesmen there ended up recommending a different store close by, and not only did they have the same doors , they were less than half of the price ugly duck's displayed prices. we decided we are buying online from Home Depot.

I wandered in and found a door I liked, they searched for a window I liked and found one!!! got the door ready in record time! I would recommend them to anyone. Great job guys!!!

Really great service and communication. Custom made French doors were done exactly as ordered and ready within a few, short days. Friendly, competent assistance and the price was a pleasant surprise. Top-ranked!!

Don't walk, run from this business. The worst in customer service, quality, organization...the list goes on and on. I ignored the warning signs and I paid for it.

I went to Ugly Duck looking for an original beautiful door. Eli Thielen quickly helped me find a beautiful door. I was very picky but he was patient with me and made sure I left happy and with what I wanted. The crew at ugly duck sanded it and cut it to fit my measurements. I can't remember the name of the gentleman who took the initiative to san sand it for me, but he did it anyways and made it look brand new. I couldn't be happier with my new front door. I love you guys at Ugly Duck!!!

Incompetent, Frustrating, Blames Others for Own Mistakes
Needed to replace an interior door that's a bit short of standard height. Called The Ugly Duckling Warehouse and was put in touch with Bill, discussed with him that I needed a door of a CUSTOM height and gave him the measurements. Bill told me that they had doors in stock that could be cut down to the height I needed, and he took the order over the phone and said he would call me back that afternoon with my total price and take my credit card info. Two days later, Bill still hadn't called. I called him again, he couldn't remember having talked with me, but finally found the order, and I gave him credit card info. He said the door would be ready in 2 days. Then he called back to say, "Bad news, your door is going to take 8-10 days." I told him that was too long to wait and asked him to refund my credit card. He said he would, but then called back 5 minutes later to say they could have my door ready the next day (Friday). On Friday, I drove 90 miles to pick up my door, but there was no door waiting for me. They couldn't even find my order. Finally someone other than Bill located my order, which had never been turned in to the shop, and I was asked to return several hours later. Remember that I'm 90 miles from home at this point.
Finally I got home with my door, took it into my workshop and stained it. Then I brought it into the house, and surprise, it was a standard height that had NOT been cut down. Called Bill yet again, and WOW! He said there was nothing in his notes about cutting the door down. In his mind, there could be no explanation for his lack of notes/measurements other than that I had kept that detail a secret when placing my order with him. I pointed out that since I could have bought a STANDARD height door at my local Home Depot, it would have made NO sense for me to call up a business 90 miles from my home and order a door sight unseen. Bill then became positive that he had never even SPOKEN to me about that door, even though we'd had far too many phone calls for my taste. He refused to take any responsibility for the error, and told me my only recourse was to bring the door back to them and they would cut it down, a 180-mile round trip. He presented that option as if he were doing me some kind of favor. Since I already know from experience that they'd probably find a way to screw that up, too, I declined that offer. Now I have to figure out how to cut the thing down myself.
To recap: I measured my door's rough opening, determined that I needed a custom door, and then found a business that does custom doors that was 90 miles away from my home. I called The Ugly Duck Warehouse and placed my order for a custom-length door with Bill, verbally over the phone. Naturally, I provided Bill with the measurements of the rough opening so they could make me a CUSTOM-length door. Bill failed to write down the details, then failed to turn in the order, then failed to take ANY responsibility for screwing things up. Bill's version of this story is that I called him up and ordered a standard door (which I could have bought locally), and then drove 90 miles to pick it up (instead of the 10 miles I could have driven for a standard door). I guess he's also pretty sure I that I called him up this morning and lied to him about the door not fitting. To Bill, that scenario seems more plausible that the possibility that he messed up the order from the get-go and isn't real good at what he does.
These guys have prices that look good, but do yourself a favor and deal with someone professional, someone who can do better than a 3.4 average on their Google reviews. If you appreciate intelligence, competence, and decent customer service, I do not recommend The Ugly Duck Warehouse.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
