Always a fun time. Some sports book and table play. I never do machines.
Parking lot is sketchy though. Never see security. Zombies everywhere.
Pretty clean inside casino. Haven't been to a concert here due to the clientele in area and parking lot.
Smoky inside.
Friendly employees.
I always break even or walk away with some pocket change.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I had a great experience staying here 3 nights for a conference for work. For almost 4 days, I did not leave the building at all. so I got a pretty good sense of the place.
My room was beautiful, with a spacious shower with multiple jets. The king-sized bed was comfortable, and the temp controls worked great. My room didn't have much of a "view" but it looks like it might have a good view of their outdoor concert venue if you came at the right time for a show.
The lobby and communal spaces were lovely. If you need a spot to work outside your room, I recommend the walkway past the coffee shop towards the new tower. In the main lobby, I especially liked the water with fresh fruit infusions. All of the staff I interacted with were helpful. For example, I asked for extra coffee pods and bottled water and they brought them to my room right away. The hotel offers free valet parking.
There are two gyms for hotel guests, one in the older original tower, and one in the new tower. I think they both have their pros and cons - the older gym has TVs but no windows, and free weights but older cardio equipment. The gym in the new tower has windows for daylight, and new cardio equipment, including a rower/erg and pelotons, but no free weights and no TVs. It's brighter and nicer but if gyms are important to you, check both out.
Attending the conference, the resort provided amazing service and food for all of the sessions - even snacks for breaks, like freshly made caramel corn and delicious little pastries. I could write separate reviews for the restaurants, but, overall, I'd say all of the dining options were pretty solid.
If I had to give some criticism, I would say that the walls between the hotel rooms in the old tower were pretty thin - I heard my neighbor's alarm clock one morning - and he or she must have been catching an EARLY flight. Also, I think they have a pretty good ventilation system for a casino, but you're still going to get some cigarette smoke smell when you cut through or around the casino floor, to get to some of the restaurants. There were also some questionable characters hanging around the casino. Fine if you were cutting through during the day but possibly a safety concern later at night.
Overall, I had a good stay. I would gladly go back here. I heard the spa was beautiful and I missed out so I'll definitely check that out next time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I must say I was disappointed with the room and bedding that is bragged about? Pillows were okay and the bed felt like a sheet of Plywood! Room was Dusty and the shower had hard water stains all over the chrome. It looked like a truck stop shower stall. Room 503 stay away. Steakhouse was great and our waiter was awesome. My wife said the Spa was great.
Work on detailed cleaning in shower and front edge of bed. Overall this is a 3 star stay!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This review is for the hotel and meeting rooms. Stayed here bc we hosted a business meeting. The event staff and front desk was very accommodating, friendly and flexible. This place is huge!
I liked the modern and clean hotel room.
Wished the bathrooms were closer to the conference rooms. The food was nicely displayed, and plentiful. I appreciated the attentive staff. Super easy to work with, we will book future meetings here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Had a great experience here. Rooms were nice and beds comfortable and clean. The non smoking room in the casino was fun, although blackjack table was closed. Nice perks when you sign up for the camas club. Apps in the Epic sports were good and the massage in the spa was quite excellent. Pool, hot tub nice also. Whomever is managing this property is doing a great job

My review is for the concert facility and the casino itself, I can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay due to the high price and not so favorable reviews.
The concert facility is really nice, big stage, nice seating, good view from every angle and the seating is positioned, so the sun is behind you. Very important when it's 100F outside and the last thing you want or need is direct sun. We went out right before the opening act, so 7:30pm is good for shaded seats. Prices for concessions were ok, I mean you get much cheaper drinks inside, so we had drinks and dinner before heading out. Soda, water and chips were all $5, that's fair.
The casino itself was jam packed, like 95% of slots in use and so we had a hard time even finding a spot to play. We do have our favorite slots and they were all taken for quite some time. I also feel that in today's times, having such a tiny non smoking area is really bad. It was so packed in there, so clearly people don't want to sit and roast in second hand smoke. Time to either upgrade the HVAC or make the casino non smoking and give people areas to smoke outside and provide a smoking room area with slots and tables.
The slots itself were ok, some super tight, some good - we won some, we lost some. All in all, much better than those stingy Seattle area casinos.
Food options were ok, there are fast food options like Fat burger, Qdoba and Pizza and an expensive Asian restaurant and steakhouse.
Overall good visit, would definitely go back again for a concert and some gambling.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Arrived and couldn't check in because computer system was working on an "audit". Had to wait 20 mins in lobby after a long flight until computer system was restored.
In response to recent update from owner/manager:
I find your response to be lacking in any kind of forward thinking problem solving skill. Being a hotel, and checking people into rooms is one of the primary duties. If your computer system is routinely "down for nightly audit" you should have a manual alternative procedure. This is truly pathetic service and management.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

A lot of changes since the last review, except for the lack of quality. Just recently stayed in one of their very new rooms in their new expansion.
Found a receipt on the floor from a place j. Montana dated June 22 when we checked in. There was dried urine under the toilet seat when I lifted the lid. That and the receipt make me wonder how often they clean rooms at Quest.
Lack of reasonably priced food offerings make it very frustrating to come out here, especially when the quality of the expensive food is usually pretty mediocre. The taphouse they made such a big deal about is now just a VIP room with a lot of taps never being hooked up. Got rid of what was becoming a very good Asian place and replaced it with a cafeteria feel place with average food. I have not seen any Asian people eating here for some time so clearly their target audience is not happy. Fatburger just recently changed their traffic flow so the line to the cashier starts at a different direction, so you now how to cut through the line to get your order when it is ready. New pizza place opened, started with exorbitantly priced slices (whole pizza still grossly overpriced). They lowered the prices after a lot of complaints, then posted signs announcing this like the management group suddenly did us a big favor. And still no place to get a decent basic made to order sandwich.
Loyalty points system has changed drastically too, with larger margins and losing tier levels faster.
Also, it seems they are spending all their money on building new stuff rather than maintaining existing fixtures. Seems during major events escalators are often out of order, and sometimes elevators. Last time I checked the elevator thing is a violation of ADA standards.
They have spent a lot of effort to put lipstick on a pig and are trying to attract a higher level of clientele. Which makes sense. But folks at that level expect premium service and facilities, and these do not exist at Quest.
I guess it is futile to expect Quest is ever gonna change because casinos make money basically just opening the doors. But all their radio and print ads act like it is a big deal. At the end of the day it is borderline false advertising.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experiences with us at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. We are sorry to hear you have not been enjoying your recent visits and do hope you will give us the opportunity to prove our commitment to a superior experience.
There have been a lot of changes to our property over the years and, we promise, all changes are in focus of making our property even more enjoyable for all our guests. We will certainly take your concerns into consideration when making changes in the future, but do hope you will return as our guest, as your satisfaction is important to us and we would value the chance to change your impression of us.Jan 20, 2017Previous reviewKind of sad the way this place has gone downhill. I will list the problems.
First, food. Quality of all places except Masselowe's has really gone down. Epic just keeps getting weirder and weirder in their offerings, and they charge too much for what you get. The noodle place typically burns stuff (I think they have their grill up too high to get food our faster.) and honestly never impressed me that much. The buffet has gotten a little on the bland side except for limited events. The deli and Fatburger charge way too much for mediocre offerings. I wish they had a basic cafe style place that most casinos around the world offer. Or get a chef at EPIC who shoots closer to normal.
Someone in their infinite wisdom has moved all VIP parking to the parking garage, much farther to walk than it was before. Sure, covered parking can be nice, but the walk is easily double if not triple the distance.
And, unlike the vast majority of casinos that have keno runners in all the food places if you are feeling lucky, you have to call a number every time you want a keno runner to come to your table. I know a lot of keno players who play one ticket, watch the board, then pay for another one. They are shooting themselves in the foot with this policy.
My final gripe is that they seem to move machines every couple weeks, and they put up a bunch of new junk all the time. The few I enjoy seem to keep disappearing.
All in all, I honestly feel like Quest is trying to keep me away with all the things they do now.Jul 18, 2014Previous reviewThis place is fun, plain and simple. Right up front be warned that this place is fairly smoky, and even the "Non-Smoking" gaming area gets some of it. Also be warned that, unlike Vegas and Reno, drinking costs you even if you are playing. But the drinks aren't super expensive so not a huge deal.
All the dealers, and staff in general, are pretty friendly here. One thing I like about this place is that it has a fairly linear set up, so you can maneuver through this place fairly quickly. A lot of casinos I have been to make it hard to move around and even find the exits or bathrooms, because they want you on the floor cranking the money away.
One big knock. Cell reception SUCKS here, and the free wifi only seems to work in little 5 foot square bubbles here and there. Not a big deal unless you are with someone and trying to find them. You can't call and text messages take forever to be sent and received.
Have eaten in the various food places here. All good except EPIC, which is average.
Basically, a great place for grown ups to play. - Jun 23, 2022
Our hotel shuttle service was waiting for us as once we came from the baggage claim area. Our driver was super friendly and helped with our luggage.
The resort was a quick drive from the airport. A beautiful resort with several restaurants, a casino, coffee shop, spa and fitness center. Our room was very nice with two Queen beds, separate bath area, big screen TV, small fridge, drawers, closet with bathrobe, desk and chairs.
Staff are nice and welcoming.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

My wife and I reserved a room for the first time at Northern Quest on 12/26, a 2-queen room. We got there a bit earlier than we had planned, but this amazing desk person said our room was available on the 7th floor if we wanted to check in early. This woman continued to treat us amazingly while going through the check-in process and really started our visit off with a bang. She was friendly and professional! Our room was clean, spacious, with a view of many of the Christmas decorations outside. The bathroom was spotless, with a shower that pampered us and the cutest nightlite. The price was right, the lobby clean and inviting, and the workout room was a nice bonus. Plenty of food options, along with a spacious retail store made it an A-1 stay!
