Partnering with the Inland Northwest to reach the poor with the love and power of the gospel so they may become God-dependent, contributing members of society. What began as a downtown soup kitchen in 1951 has expanded into a comprehensive ministry with four shelters, three recovery programs, two thrift stores, an automotive enterprise and a summer camp for underprivileged youth.

Job Title: Human Resource Assistant Reports To: Director of Human Resources Date Revised: October 30, 2023 Status: 32 hours a week UGM considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for implementing proactive recruitment strategies for UGM Thrift Store applicants encouraging employee referrals, on-site recruiting (when necessary) and following designated job boards. They schedule and conduct initial interviews for thrift working alongside the Human Resource Generalist and help facilitate New Employee Onboardings. They also assist with New Employee Orientations and manage the ongoing Grace Blitz and Kendall Life Language Profile (KLLP) trainings. Additionally, they support the team as needed/requested in other areas. REQUIREMENT: Union Gospel Mission is a privately funded 501 (c)3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry. Our designated purpose is religious, and we are a Christ-centered ministry which is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and helping the homeless and impoverished. We consider every position to be essential in the fulfillment of our ministry and Statement of Purpose.
