Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification Program

Presenters:

Erica Amsden, Engineering Manager, City of Spokane Valley
Aleesha Roedel, Government Contracting Assistance Specialist, Washington APEX Accelerator, Greater Spokane, Inc.

The City of Spokane Valley in partnership with the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and Washington APEX Accelerator (formerly WA PTAC), will be hosting a community education program on the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification program.

The Department of Transportation’s DBE program has a primary goal to level the playing field by providing small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals a fair opportunity to compete for federally funded transportation contracts involving highway, transit, airport, and similar projects nationwide.

If your firm would like to become DBE certified to bid on projects with local governments, state agencies, school districts and public universities along with federally funded transportation projects, plan to attend this one-hour free workshop to discover how to become eligible and the process to get certified.

Choose to attend either virtually or in person at the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce (GSVCC), located at 10808 E. Sprague Avenue in Spokane Valley. Register here on the GSVCC Events webpage or call 509-924-4994.
