You and your middle and high school students are invited to join us for our next Business AfterSchool, an Operating Room Open House at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. Surgical-related careers are in demand and rising. Students, parents, and educators are all welcome. Learn more about career options on the hospital campus and see behind the scenes of the perioperative (surgery) arena, an area that is generally off-limits to visitors. This two-hour experience provides an opportunity to walk through their surgery center, highlight a variety of surgical careers, and talk to current staff about the education pathways for that career. They will have hands-on experiences that introduce a full view of what is involved in the surgical setting, starting with Instrumentation, Surgical Technologists' roles, or Surgical Nursing, Anesthesiology, Diagnostics, and Surgical Doctors. You won't want to miss this rare opportunity to step inside a surgical arena and learn more about this demanding area of healthcare!
